How to join

Membership of the PCPLD Network is open to anyone who is interested in promoting excellent palliative and end of life care for people with learning disabilities. This includes professionals, (family) carers, and people with learning disabilities themselves.

Membership is free. Members receive an electronic newsletter and can, if they wish, receive email alerts of carefully selected conferences, research, meetings and other issues of interest.

To join, email your details to Please include your full name and place of work (if applicable). It also helps us to know whether you are a professional, family carer or a person with learning disabilities. Also let us know if you wish to opt out of receiving email alerts or if you change your email address.


The PCPLD Network is run by volunteers. Any fundraising or donations will be gratefully received to support:

  • Area groups
  • The annual Linda McEnhill award (for best practice)
  • Local and national events and conferences
  • Maintenance of the website
